What Nurse Francine’s Been Up To: Full Moon Reflections, Hormone Healing & Hersgiving at Buhay

🌕 Hunter’s Moon Reflections: A Night of Connection & Courage

Our Full Moon Circle on October 11th was a reminder of the magic that happens when women come together to slow down, reflect, and reconnect, not just with each other, but with themselves.

This moon, known as the Hunter’s Moon, was in the fiery sign of Aries, bringing bold, action-oriented energy. It encouraged courage, movement, and honoring our personal desires. Astrologically, the Aries Moon opposed the Sun in Libra, creating a balance between self-sufficiency and connection. It was a cosmic invitation to take decisive action on goals while staying mindful of our relationships.

A warm cup of cacao ceremonially prepared to help open our hearts to healing and wisdom, as we gather in a sacred circle.

We opened the night with a ceremonial cacao circle, each of us setting an intention and writing it on our cup, connecting deeply with the heart before taking that first mindful sip. Jillian, then guided us through a sound-infused meditation, where the healing tones and vibrations invited us into deep rest and awareness. After meditation, we shared what surfaced, our insights, emotions, and intentions for moving forward, then pulled oracle cards that beautifully reflected the themes of courage and balance.

The real magic, though, came in the quiet , in choosing to show up anyway. When attendance was low and we debated whether to proceed, we decided to hold space no matter what. One beautiful soul joined us, and what unfolded was pure alignment. We connected deeply, and the intimacy of that moment reminded me why we do this work.

I left feeling profoundly grounded, maybe even drifting between consciousness and sleep during meditation. In the days that followed, my body responded in an unexpected way.

After 72 days without a cycle, my period started.

It arrived gently, without pain, almost as if my body was saying thank you for slowing down and listening. That’s the power of connection, intention, and honoring your body’s rhythm.

🌕 Next Full Moon Circle: The Beaver Moon in Taurus

A spiritual session unfolds as a hand delicately guides a pendulum over an array of oracle cards, surrounded by crystals and sacred objects, channeling divine messages.

Our next Full Moon Circle will be held Saturday, November 8th, 5–7 PM under the Beaver Moon, a time of preparation, patience, and gratitude.

In astrology, the Taurus Full Moon focuses on grounding, wealth, sensuality, and emotional security as we approach the winter season. Together, we’ll explore what it means to “build our own dam” , tending to our home, mind, body, and soul to prepare for what’s ahead.

We’ll open again with a cacao ceremony, followed by a relaxing meditation. You’re welcome to sit in one of our reclining chairs or bring your yoga mat and blanket for comfort. Oracle cards will be available for those who wish to pull, but participation is always optional. 🌙 It’s an evening of self-reflection, community, and preparation for the slower, cozier months ahead.

🌸 My PCOS Journey: From Frustration to Healing

My personal PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) journey began in my mid-20s. During an IUD placement, my gynecologist mentioned, almost casually, that I had cysts on imaging. Later, my primary care doctor confirmed what I had already been experiencing... missed periods, facial hair growth, skin tags, and signs of insulin resistance.

After 16 years on birth control, I knew my body would need time to find its rhythm again. While I was told that coming off wouldn’t affect my fertility or cycles, my gut said otherwise. And I was right. It took time, patience, and compassion to reconnect to my body’s natural cycle.

Working alongside Renata Trebing and making slow, sustainable lifestyle and nutrition changes has been a game-changer. My cycles are more regular, my symptoms are improving, and I feel more in tune with myself than ever before.

That’s why we created our new Natural Hormone Therapy program, to give women the same support and education I wish I had.

🌿 Natural Hormone Therapy at Buhay Health & Wellness

Unlike Hormone Replacement Therapy, our approach is rooted in functional, holistic hormone balance. We help women uncover the root causes of imbalance, guiding them to create sustainable changes that support whole-body wellness.

Through functional lab testing (like DUTCH ), nutritional guidance, lifestyle modification, and treatments available through Buhay, such as GLP-1 & GLP-1 GIP, IV Ozone Therapy, NAD+, and customized IV drips — we help women understand their cycle, hormones, and how it all connects to their mind and body.

Most women are taught to survive in chaos. But true hormone health comes from slowing down, nourishing yourself, and learning to thrive in balance.

Common signs of hormone imbalance we address include:

  • Inability to lose weight

  • Painful, irregular, or missing periods

  • PMS or PMDD symptoms

  • Mood swings and fatigue

  • Hot Flashes

  • Brain Fog

  • Infertility

  • Miscarriage

Our mission is simple: empower women to feel informed, validated, and confident in their healing journey.
